Barcelona on the edge of unbeatable
I’ve always been the type of person who roots for the underdog. I suppose that’s why I never cheer for Barcelona in any of their matches. I love a contest in which both sides are equally qualified to win but lately it seems that anyone who faces the spanish giants are destined to lose. After the SuperCup match, the commentators were discussing the upcoming Champions League tournament and ended with saying “it doesn’t seem likely that anyone will be able to stop Barcelona from winning it once again.”
Sure they only beat Manchester United 3-1 but the entire match was dominated by Barca. It actually saddened me a bit to see the English champs manhandled like that.
What about Madrid? They did manage to snatch the Copa del Rey from Barcelona last season with a late goal by Cristiano Ronaldo but failed to advance in the Champions League and have already lost to them this season in the Spanish Super Copa. Regardless, if anyone has a chance of beating Barcelona it’s Real Madrid though I admit their chances seem slim.
