I hated Fernando Torres for abandoning Liverpool when they were at a low but I honestly hoped that he scored against Manchester United. This guy played hard against the Red Devils and, yes, he deserved more than the one goal he scored. He could’ve scored a hat trick!
As of now, del Bosque is unsure of whether to call Torres back for the national squad so, naturally, now is the time to prove that you’re still a top class player. The goal that he DID manage to score was a great one too!… but mistakes like the ones this weekend cannot be afforded.
